Muesli makes me think of mucus, so I know today I got the texture right: cold oatmeal & milk, Greek yogurt, smashed frozen raspberries, raw cashews, raisins, cinnamon. Stir well.

Oatmeal, raisins, walnuts, cinnamon, cottage cheese. Don’t try it at home.

Grosser times. Guess I was out of yogurt, so I used cottage cheese. I definitely ate that bowl of food though. Now that I’m back to work, I have to savor all the small pleasures in life, but I’m not convinced cottage cheese is a pleasure.

Muesli in Canada! With grapes, banana, grated apple, and walnuts. All you have to do is soak the oatmeal in milk overnight (in Canada).

I am out of milk. So I put some water and frozen blueberries into Kashi 7 Whole Grain Nuggets (which seem exactly like Grape Nuts to me). I microwaved that for a minute, then added a spoonful of yogurt and some banana slices. It wasn’t watery at all. I just put enough water to barely cover the cereal.  The blueberries got hot too. But it was a nice change from oatmeal—seemed lighter.  Do you think that adding water and then microwaving a food lowers (I mean RAISES) its glycemic index? It probably does. It’s like prematurely putting it into someone’s mouth for predigestion.

I ate those wheat squares.

It has been so long, I don’t know when I ate this cereal. But I know it’s Kashi Go Lean Crunch, which is a serious cereal. It gets all the way into my teeth.
